Experience the Delightful Scents From All Over the World When You Use Essential Oils

When you breathe in the aroma of a rose you are essentially breathing an essential oil of that rose. Not all plants give an aroma. Why do some plants have an essential oil and other plants do not? This is a mystery only Mother Nature understands.

So how do essential oils arrive in our little bottles?
It is a rather long, detailed process. The essential oils are substances found in specialized cells or glands of certain plants. When the substance is still in the plant it is technically called an essence. The essential oils are used by the plant to protect it from predators and to attract pollinators. It is after the distillation process of a plant that the aromatic substance is referred to as an "essential oil." In our bottles are substances that have been extracted from the plant which are highly concentrated and because of this high concentration essential oils are precious to us. It takes about 50 rose flowers to create just one single drop of Rose Oil. It does not take many drops of essential oil to provide us with immense therapeutic benefit.
We find essential oils in the flowers of:
  • Ylang Ylang
  • Chamomile
  • Lavender
We find essential oils in:
  • the wood of Cedarwood
  • in the tiny roots of Vetiver
  • in the fresh rind of Orange
  • in distilled Lime
  • in the leaves of Ravintsara and Peppermint

Aromatic plants containing these precious essential oils grow all over the world. Many plants are grow in certain regions, therefore, essential oils come from almost every continent. Lavender is probably the most well known essential oil and is famous in France. In France you can drive through miles and miles of beautiful purple Lavender fields blooming in July. India is another large grower of Lavender. Lavender can be found growing in South Africa, Oregon and Washington State in the U.S.A.
Ylang Ylang is a richly scented plant that comes from Madagascar. Ravintsara also comes from Madagascar. You can see Chamomile growing along the countrysides of England, India and Nepal. Distilled lime comes from Peru and Orange is grown in Spain, Italy and South Africa. You can find Peppermint growing in Indian and Nepal. Vetiver comes from Indonesia and Cedarwood comes from the USA.
Sampling all these oils is like indulging your senses in all the diverse scents of the world. It is truly a delightful experience.
